This project focused on modernizing how an established local business presented itself while preserving the trust and familiarity that built its reputation.

Where things began

Battle River Plumbing & Heating is a family run business founded in 1980 and now operated by Brad and Scott. The company had built strong local trust through word of mouth, but its website and marketing presence no longer reflected the quality or professionalism of the work itself.
As the business entered a new growth stage, there was a clear opportunity to strengthen how the brand showed up online while staying true to the down to earth reputation that customers already trusted.

Clarifying strategic direction

The goal was not to reinvent the business. It was to make sure the brand finally matched the quality and trust they had already built locally.
Brand positioning centered on highlighting what already made the company strong. Local roots. Family ownership. Practical expertise. Friendly and knowledgeable service.
Instead of moving toward a corporate or overly polished style, the strategy emphasized clarity and professionalism while keeping the tone grounded and approachable.
This allowed the business to stand out from competitors without abandoning the identity customers already recognized.

How the work unfolded

The project began with refining brand messaging and visual direction to better reflect the company as knowledgeable neighbours rather than a faceless service provider.
A full website redesign reorganized services, simplified navigation, and improved clarity so visitors could quickly understand what the company offers and how to take the next step.
Structure was prioritized before visual styling. Content hierarchy helped reinforce credibility while maintaining a welcoming tone aligned with the company’s personality.
Alongside the website build, visual systems were introduced to keep marketing materials consistent and scalable. Strategic guidance helped turn ideas into clear next steps, so decisions felt grounded instead of uncertain.

What changed

The refreshed brand presence created a more cohesive and professional identity that better reflected the company’s strengths and reputation.
During the collaboration, the team frequently noted increased demand and growing workloads, suggesting stronger visibility and engagement within their service area.
More importantly, the business gained a clear foundation that can continue supporting growth without needing constant reinvention.
